Egyptian authorities have arrested the thieves of a rare ancient bracelet from the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir.
The Ministry of Interior said in a statement on Thursday that investigations revealed that the perpetrator of the incident is a restoration specialist at the Egyptian Museum, who managed to steal the bracelet on September 9th while she was working at the museum by deceiving her.
The ministry added that the accused contacted a merchant she knew, the owner of a silver shop in the Sayeda Zeinab district of Cairo, who sold the jewelry to the owner of a gold workshop in Al-Sagha for 180,000 Egyptian pounds (approximately $3,730).
